Colour therapy, also know as chromatherapy or light therapy, is an ancient healing technique using the seven colours of the visible spectrum. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
The body is not just dense and physical; it is constantly changing, vibrating and emitting light frequencies. These vibrations change depending on our emotions and health.
The aim is to introduce the correct colours into our energy field in order to help emotional and physical issues. For optimal health and well-being a balance of the spectrum is required.
During a treatment a light box is used with different coloured filters, the client sits or lies down and bathes in the light. Scarves can also be used by draping them across the body.
In my experience the client usually knows instinctively which colour they need. When entering the treatment room they are usually drawn to a colour straight away, and sometimes they’re surprised. That colour and it’s properties will then be discussed before starting the treatment.
